Raffaella Camera, Head of Market & Innovation Strategy, Global, Accenture Extended Reality (XR): Raffaella Camera is part of the Accenture Extended
Reality (XR) practice and serves as Head of Market & Innovation Strategy, Global. Joining Accenture in February 2017, Ms. Camera shapes virtual reality and augmented reality (VR/AR) offerings, directs the strategy for the creation of XR experiences, manages direct sales in collaboration with internal account teams, oversees indirect sales through the development of assets such as case studies and demos, develops partnerships with external content creators, and leverages partnerships with the VR/AR ecosystem to create revenue opportunities. Ms. Camera brings 20 years of experience in growing and promoting businesses in the digital ecosystem and direct experience in AR, VR, live video, social and ecommerce. As a business development, strategy, partnership and account management leader, she has helped grow advertising agencies and strategic corporate divisions of digital, entertainment, advertising, ecommerce and emerging technology companies. Within the digital space, Ms. Camera has sold and created digital campaigns (websites, mobile, display, earned media, SEO, SEM, social); defined, set up and run ecommerce businesses (corporate and startups); developed and run partnerships for a recognition-based and AR/VR-based mobile platform; created launch plans and partnerships for live video-based social platforms; and set up the digital partnerships portfolio for an entertainment company. Over her career, Ms. Camera has acquired and managed more than $200 million in business for clients and partners, including major retailers, consumer goods and services, broadcast media companies, automotive manufacturers, and travel and leisure companies. She has also been a key participant in raising and closing $40 million+ in funding. Ms. Camera has won multiple awards in advertising and emerging technology, including Best VR Branded Entertainment at VR Fest, Communication Arts, Webby, and IDG’s DEMOgod Award for Best AR Retail Shopping solution. An MBA graduate of University of Southern California (USC) Marshall School of Business, Ms. Camera also holds a masters of piano performance from the USC Thornton School of Music and undergraduate degrees from universities in Italy. As a former concert pianist, Ms. Camera performed at a variety of concert halls in Europe and received her SAG membership in the US.
Ted Schilowitz, Futurist, Paramount Pictures: Ted spends his time in a unique role in the motion picture entertainment industry. As the Futurist at Paramount pictures, Ted works with studio leadership and the technology teams at Paramount / Viacom, exploring forms of new and emerging technologies, with an emphasis on Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality. Prior to joining Paramount, Ted was the Futurist at 20th Century Fox, where he worked on the evolving art, science and technology of advanced interactive visual storytelling. He was part of the creation team for the Martian VR and Wild VR experiences, which premiered at CES and Sundance as groundbreaking projects that pushed the envelope of Virtual Reality storytelling. Ted was an integral part of the product development team at RED Digital Cinema as a founding member and the company’s first employee. The Red One and Epic cameras have made a significant impact on the Motion Picture Industry, with many of the world’s biggest movies now being shot with these ultra high resolution digital movie cameras. Ted is one of the founders and creators of the G-Tech product line of advanced hard drive storage products. As one of the most recognized brands in that industry, they are implemented worldwide at the highest levels on cinema, episodic television, sports and news production. Before being part of the founding teams at RED Digital Cinema and G-Tech, Ted was on the team that developed and launched the Macintosh desktop video division of AJA Video Systems, creating professional video products in tandem with Apple. These products are used on a massive scale worldwide for video production and post at the highest levels, on many of the world’s biggest movies, TV series and sporting events. Ted has presented worldwide at numerous conferences on the advancements in next generation visual experiences for the movie, television and, interactive entertainment industries. Preeti Patel, SVP, Technology, R/GA New York: As SVP, Technology, Preeti Patel manages and develops technology strategy, delivery, and innovation for clients across R/GA New York. She works to help brands build a stable foundation using technology, data and operations. She is passionate about injecting courage into innovation to grow digital capabilities so teams can orchestrate data-driven, targeted and tailored digital marketing across multiple channels and create inspiring and industry-leading work. Bringing more than 20 years of experience, Patel is a solutions-driven, strategic leader skilled at advising industry leaders and leading mission-critical digital transformation initiatives. She previously served as VP of Technology at Rauxa, where she evolved and articulated the company’s strategic technical direction. Prior to Rauxa, Patel served as Senior Director of Technology at Huge, where she led work for clients including Thomson Reuters, Verizon, Morgan Stanley and Exxon Mobil, setting technology strategy and transforming product development processes to create award-winning, large-scale strategic technology products, services, platforms and campaigns. She also held the position of VP, Product development at the Marlin Company where she built products and platforms.
Patrick Costello, Senior Director of Business Development at Qualcomm Technologies Inc., is responsible for building partnerships with strategic multimedia partners in the sports and entertainment verticals. In support of Qualcomm’s XR business, Patrick leads engagements with film studios, sports leagues, OEM’s, and ISV’s to drive content partnerships and traction for Qualcomm’s broader technology portfolio. Prior to joining Qualcomm, Patrick led business development for Kyocera Wireless in emerging markets like India, Indonesia, Thailand, and other markets in MEA and SEA. Following completion of his International Relations degree from the University of San Diego in 1995, Patrick obtained his MBA from San Diego State University.
Steve Sullivan is currently GM for the Mixed Reality Capture Studios at Microsoft. Based in San Francisco, with partner stages in Los Angeles and London, the studios create volumetric video of real people and performances for immersive headsets, mobile AR, and traditional 2D experiences. Prior to joining Microsoft, Steve was Senior Technology Officer for ILM/Lucasfilm. He led R&D across the Lucas Divisions, advancing the state of the art in content creation tech for film, TV, and games. He contributed to over 70 films and received three Academy Awards for Technology. He is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and recently served 6 years on the Academy's Science and Technology Council. He received a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, with an emphasis on multi-view reconstructions.
Ravi Velhal, Intel USA, leads digital media standards, technologies and immersive Cinema globally. As a CinemaVRE (Virtual Reality Experience) pioneer, he co-produced Le Musk–multi-sensory VR by A. R Rahman, Save Every Breathe: Dunkirk VRE with Warner Bros, FIRST MAN: VRE with Universal Pictures and RYOT, directed Rio Carnival 2018 VRE with GloboTV, collaborated with Sony Pictures on SpiderMan: HomeComing VRE, which was nominated for prestigious EMMY and recently launched “Innovation Studio” with Sony Pictures. His focus is to drive future immersive cinema, including 8K/16K future immersive media formats. Frank J. Radice is a veteran TV Producer/Director and Media/Marketing executive. He is the managing partner of the consulting firms, VIDA F.R. Co. in NYC, and BadCatCo in London, the Expert in Residence for Definition6 and Vixen Labs, and London bureau chief, Salon Media. He sits on the advisory boards of Digital Hollywood and Observatory Pictures, London. Frank is the former President and CMO of NATAS (The Emmy Awards) and EVP the NBC Agency, the former Chair of the Promax BDA UK Conference and Awards. He also consulted Univision Communications and Deportes on the creation of their in house marketing and promotion agencies, and the launch of El Rey Network. As a marketing executive, Frank received the TV Week "Campaign of Distinction" award, was inducted into the PROMAX/BDA Hall of Fame, and named Brand Builder of the Year by Multichannel News and Broadcasting & Cable. An award winning composer, he co-created the long running “America’s First Family” theme, and is a two time Emmy nominee for original music composition for NBC’s Today show. He is an Emmy Nominee for Best Promotional Announcement on MSNBC, and is honoured by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences for his contributions to NBC’s "Saturday Night Live." In addition to extensive experience in advertising, promotion, and music, Frank has a lengthy background in journalism. During his 17 years with ABC News, he was honoured with 2 DuPont Awards and 2 national Emmy Awards. He was a producer for “Nightline," "Good Morning America," “ABC World News Tonight,” and “The Last Word with Phil Donahue and Greg Jackson,” and senior producer, product development, ABC News Interactive, and Executive Producer Of Entertainment News for CNN. Frank and wife, Vida, co-wrote "Sam Katz on the Loose." a pop-up children's book illustrated by Charles Fazzino and published by Random House.
