Madelaine Guppy, Chief Commercial Officer, Here Be Dragons: A pioneer in a new medium, Madelaine Guppy is responsible for the commercial strategy and development of Here Be Dragons. With extensive creative and technical knowledge, she mentors the development process from early ideation through creative, technical and financial packaging to build opportunities for the world’s leading creative institutions and Global creative talent. Tony Parsi joined Unity Technologies in 2016 as Head of AR/VR Strategy.  Parisi is considered by many to be one of the early pioneers of VR thanks to his work on Virtual Reality Modeling Language (VRML), a tool for creating 3D environments on the internet, with Mark Pesce back in 1994. Over the past year, he’s served as Vice President of Platform Products at WEVR but, most recently, he was planning a San Francisco-based startup, FormVR.

 

Arlene Wszalek is Vice President, Strategy & Delivery for digital marketing agency 87AM. She oversees business development, strategy and execution for the West Coast, in addition to leading the agency’s Las Vegas office. Prior to joining 87AM, she produced feature documentaries (including “The U.S. vs John Lennon,” “The Night James Brown Saved Boston,” and “Who Is Harry Nilsson?”), managed Tears For Fears co-founder Curt Smith, and was on the startup team for AOL in the UK. Wszalek is a member of the Producers Guild, the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, the Recording Academy, and The Caucus. She has guest-lectured at USC, Chapman University, and the Otis School of Art and Design. She was a founding board member of Vintage Hollywood Foundation, which has raised over $3 million since 2002 through its annual food and wine tasting event.

 

My title is Jenna Seiden, President, Vertically Coastal, Inc.: Jenna Seiden, most recently Head of Content Acquisition & Partnerships at HTC for Viveport’s home, mobile and LBE storefronts, is currently a board advisor and consultant for VR, AR, LBE, eSports, and Blockchain based companies. Here at Digital Hollywood she is attending on behalf of SpringboardVR, a content management and distribution platform for arcades, as she is most excited about the growth and monetization opportunities location-based entertainment affords content creators, IP holders and commercial operators. Prior to HTC, Jenna managed content distribution for Maker Studios, content development and partnerships for Xbox’s Microsoft Studios, served as a video games agent at Creative Artists Agency, and began her career at the NBA. She is a graduate of The Anderson School of Management at UCLA and the University of Pennsylvania.

 

W. Joe DeMiero, Digital Management Director, Team One and President, TiltShift: By day, Joe is head of digital at Team One (Saatchi & Saatchi/Publicis Groupe’s premium, luxury, and aspirational brand agency), where he leads a talented, multi-disciplinary team of strategists, creatives, and technologists, and works with clients like Lexus, The Ritz-Carlton, and Indian Motorcycle. By night, Joe is head of TiltShift, Publicis Groupe’s new VR/immersive reality consultancy and production studio. Before joining Team One, Joe opened and led the Razorfish Los Angeles office, where he managed the Honda and Acura digital agency of record account. He led the T-Mobile digital account, during its industry-revolutionizing “Un-carrier” brand re-launch, and has worked with companies like Visa, Amazon, and Qualcomm. Joe is recognized for implementing transformative ideas in complex organizations; one example is a global enterprise technology strategy that he led for Procter & Gamble, which Apple featured in a case study in their marketing. In addition to helping some of the world’s leading brands develop and implement their digital strategies, Joe has a passion for the arts. He founded the world’s largest non-profit educational jazz festival in honor of his father, Frank. And during his time at Seattle-based digital agency POP, his team developed and managed the websites, mobile apps, e-commerce, and email programs for organizations like Carnegie Hall, the Sydney Opera House, the Royal Opera House, and the Metropolitan Opera. Joe also led the development of a mobile ticketing platform, a highly-scalable ticketing platform, and in partnership with his long-time hero Frank Gehry, he led the design of digital installations for New York City’s new Signature Theatre. Don’t tell anyone, but before working for agencies, Joe sang backup vocals for artists like the Steve Miller Band, Bonnie Raitt, and Kurt Elling.

 

Andrew Shulkind, Director of Future Imaging and Content Innovation, M. Bonnieux, Inc.: Andrew Shulkind is an award-winning cinematographer best known for his creative use of innovative camera and lighting techniques.  As one of the most sought-after commercial cinematographers, Andrew shoots around the globe for a host of well-known brands including Nike, Old Spice, and Apple. Andrew’s auspicious career began as a camera operator for such luminaries as Janusz Kaminski, Don Burgess, and Emanuel Lubeszki.  Since then, Andrew and his work has been profiled in American Cinematographer, Hollywood Reporter, and Variety and has screened at festivals including the Cannes Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival, Tribeca Film Festival and many others. Andrew was recently recognized as one of the industry's top emerging cinematographers by the International Cinematographers Guild and in 2014 was the first individual awarded the Studio Prime Award - a distinction reserved for manufacturers leading technological innovation in the world of film.As an innovating director of Virtual Reality Cinematography at Headcase, Andrew provides world class cinema skill sets in developing, building and operating revolutionary 360° Virtual Reality camera systems.

 

Ted Cohen, Managing Partner, TAG Strategic: industry luminary and former, Vice President, Digital Development & Distribution, EMI Music: As Vice President of Digital Development & Distribution for EMI Music, Ted Cohen oversaw worldwide digital business development for this "big five" record company, which includes labels such as Capitol, Virgin, Angel/Blue Note, Parlophone and Chrysalis. Under Cohen's guidance, EMI has led the industry with its initiatives in new technologies and business models such as digital downloads, online music subscriptions, custom compilations, wireless services, high-definition audio and Internet radio. In addition to seeking out, evaluating and executing business opportunities for the company, Cohen serves as both a strategist and key decision-maker for EMI's global new media and anti-piracy efforts. He has worked to establish company-wide policies, which have allowed EMI's artists and labels a substantial advantage in the digital music arena. Cohen served previously as the Executive Vice President of Digital Music Network Inc., where he co-founded and served as Chairman of the Webnoize '98 & '99 conferences. He currently chairs MidemNet, an international music/technology conference convened in Cannes each year. Cohen also held senior management positions at both Warner Bros. Records and Philips Media. Additionally, Cohen lead two highly successful new media consulting operations, DMN Consulting and Consulting Adults, attracting clients such as Amazon.com, Microsoft, Universal Studios New Media, DreamWorks Records, Liquid Audio, Wherehouse Records/Checkout.com and several other entertainment, computer and new media organizations. A 25-year industry veteran, Cohen serves on the NARAS (Grammy) Los Angeles chapter Board of Governors, the Board of Directors for the Neil Bogart Memorial Fund, Co-chairs the new media arm of the T.J. Martell Foundation, and lends his time and talents to the Grammy In The Schools Program.
