Rachel Berk, Business Development Manager, Android/Play, Google: Rachel works on Google Play’s Business Development team focusing primarily on helping media and entertainment apps create successful businesses on Android. Working in the Entertainment category, she focuses on subscription services, TV Everywhere optimization and other living room initiatives, such as Android TV. A Southern California native, Rachel worked in Hollywood as a studio executive and film producer before joining Google. She earned her bachelor’s degree from The University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Wharton.

Mark Jocson, SVP Strategic Initiatives & Business Development, Rakuten Viki: Mark Jocson joined Rakuten Viki in 2018 in the newly-created role of SVP of Strategic Initiatives and Business Development.  Jocson is charged with creating strategic partnerships to further the growth of Rakuten Viki’s brands, including the company’s influencer-driven short-form content arm and Soompi, the largest and longest-running global news and community site dedicated to Korean pop culture. Prior to joining Rakuten Viki, Jocson was the Senior Vice President, Digital Media and Games at Sony Pictures Television Networks, where he managed SPT’s award-winning digital media business for nearly 100 TV channels around the world and the mobile games publishing studio with titles including Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune. Jocson was Director, Digital Media for Disney Channels Worldwide where under his leadership they won the 2008 Primetime Emmy® Award for Outstanding Interactive Media Programming — Non Fiction for Disney Channel Games. Jocson is member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and the Producers Guild of America. He is a graduate of the University of California, Irvine with a Bachelor of Arts degree and has a Master of Arts degree from New York University, Tisch School of the Arts.

 

Julie Sylvester, Producer, Living in Digital Times: Raised in the Midwest, her life consumed by theater, Julie found herself in New York not long after college. Twenty-Five years of acting, directing and managing small theater companies led her to start her own production company, Julie & Friends, which not only produced theater but also corporate and social events. Since starting production of the Sports and FitnessTech Summit at CES®, her conference has grown from 1500 square feet in 2011 to over 30,000 square feet this year. Her strong commitment to her sponsors and her determination to put on a great show has made the FitnessTech conference increasingly a “must see” event at CES. In addition to FitnessTech, she produces FashionWare a high tech fashion show at CES® and in various venues throughout the year and for 2019, she will be adding the High Tech Wearable Summit to her CES® producing schedule.

 

Marjorie DeHey, J.D./MBA, Head of Entertainment, Bishop-Lyons Entertainment: Ms. DeHey currently is the Head of Entertainment of Bishop-Lyons Entertainment where she secures funding and attaches brands to top unscripted television projects.  She has created content and negotiated deals for top TV and film projects including: Sons of Anarchy (FX), Rogue (DIRECTV), The James Bond Franchise and numerous other top TV shows and films.  She has held high-level executive positions for a number of small and large companies, including: MGM Studios, the Miss Universe organization, Enterprise Ireland (part of the Irish government), MEF (formerly the Mobile Entertainment Forum) and LexisNexis.  Marjorie was recently inducted in the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (producers of the EMMYs) and recently closed a deal with a top network to produce an Irish-centric television network.

 

Erik Ramberg, Head of Product Management, Business Unit Media, Ericsson: Erik is a seasoned product management and business development executive with over 15 years of experience in the media and technology industry. He is the Head of Product Management for Ericsson MediaFirst TV Platform. In this role, he oversees the product and business strategy of Ericsson’s new cloud TV technology product, working with Tier-1 global operators as they deploy their next-generation cloud-based TV services. He has spoken at shows including TV of Tomorrow and Digital Entertainment World. Erik joined Ericsson as part of the Mediaroom acquisition from Microsoft. During his 10 year tenure at Microsoft, Erik led various initiatives involving new business opportunities, product management, and product planning of the TV and Media (TVM) organization, including Xbox and Windows Media Center. At Microsoft, Erik managed key operator and consumer electronic partnerships, including Sony, Best Buy, Samsung, Toshiba and Panasonic. Prior to Microsoft, Erik presided as General Manager and Vice President of MovieBeam, a video-on-demand service started with major investment from the Disney Corporation, specifically its subsidiary Buena Vista Datacasting. Erik’s entertainment and wireless communications industry experience also includes working at Dotcast and Cellnet Data Systems. Erik received a Bachelor’s degree in engineering from Harvey Mudd College.

 

Sarah Miller, CEO of Axis PR & Entertainment, has over 16 years of strategic experience in public relations and marketing within the Mobile & Digital Entertainment, high-tech and consumer industries. Her expertise and success in leading Axis PR & Entertainment combined with in-depth media relations, strategic marketing, new business development, public relations and relationship marketing has helped launch numerous start-up companies. As CEO of Axis PR, Miller lead extremely successful nationwide PR & Mktng campaigns for public companies as well as early stage start-ups and have successfully taken many early stage tech companies from launch to M&A stage while under her leadership. Miller is also the Founder & Chair of the Mobile Excellence Awards, one of the most prestigious and influential mobile awards in the mobile technology, entertainment & media industry. Prior to Starting Axis PR, Miller was a Director for one of the leading independent full-service marketing and public relations firms in the country, Neale-May & Partners and GlobalFluency. Miller managed all corporate pr & marketing including, media & analyst relations, speaking opportunities and promotional programs for leading Silicon Valley Technology companies. While there, she was also instrumental in launching the CMO Council, a nationwide affinity group of exclusive and influential peer-networking group of authority leaders in technology marketing. Previous to Neale-May & Partners Miller held positions as Senior Marketing & Communications Director for Omnikron Systems, John Hancock and The New England. She brought her high-energy approach to managing and developing a franchise program and coordinating an IPO for a large food & beverage chain in the Southwest as the firm’s Marketing & PR Director. Miller also served as International Director of Programs/Trade Relations for a global consulting firm responsible for tracking and forecasting marketing and sales for international clients. Miller also served as the liaison between international consulate and clients in the U.S. Miller has also been honored with a 2014 Stevie’s Global Women in Business Lifetime Achievement Award for PR, Marketing & Advertising, and is also listed as one of the most influential women in mobile entertainment for 2010 and 2011. She has served on many industry and charity boards throughout her career and has been featured on the cover of Today’s Arizona Woman magazine twice as “A Rising Star” and “Arizona’s Women Of the Year In Business”. Miller is on the Board of Directors for Women In Music, LA graduated from Arizona State University and holds a Bachelor degree in Psychology & Marketing.
